Most Common Objections To Purchasing J4JAYS

Hello everyone, my name is Jay Mullings and I’m the founder of J4JAY Skincare. Today I’m here to take you through a few of the most frequently raised objections to purchasing J4JAYS, either for the first time or someone’s heard of it and is interested in trying it, or is not quite committed to whether they want to. I’ll just answer a few of the most common objections that I receive.

PRICE

First of which is… How can you justify the price in this economy? It should be cheaper. This is a question (or rather an objection I should say) that I understand the psychology as to why people think this way and also why it comes up. Yes, of course, I’m very aware of the current economic climate, all of the tariffs that are going on in America, importing, exporting. There is a lot of these things that have to be considered.

Similarly, you have to think of things from the perspective of running a business, and a business by definition is run for profit, right? When I’m saying run for profit, I’m not ‘scalping’, which is — you know something costs or you could sell something for X, Y, Z and make a profit, but you’re choosing to sell it for so much more. That’s not what’s happening here. This isn’t a price surge or anything like that.

It’s literally the cost of the ingredients that I’ve purchased, certification, insurance, logistics, everything that goes into this. There’s a price that I must pay and then there’s a price that has to be passed on to you, the customer. Everything that goes into making these prices has been calculated using a formula.

It’s very, very above board. I’m not taking the mick out of anyone and I’m definitely not mocking anyone’s circumstances. I’m in the same circumstances and if I have to buy things for a certain price, then I have to sell them for a certain price. Otherwise, the business will quickly fold. That’s the short answer to that objection I typically receive.

QUALITY

Another one (objection) is, “If it was as good as you say, why aren’t you already rich?” Well, here’s the thing; I literally have just started J4JAYS in 2025. So the idea that I would have started, taking (pre)orders in January, fulfilling them in February and I should be rich by, what are we in now? May? Come on now! This is a small, small business. It’s ran very lean.

The point is, the reason I’m not already rich is because the business hasn’t scaled to that point yet. That’s why I’m having to enter these discussions on a one-on-one basis with people and try to allay their concerns personally. I quite like that. It’s a very intimate way of doing business.

FREE DELIVERY

Why don’t you deliver for free? The truth is, free delivery is a psychological trick! It’s to make you think you’re getting something for free. It isn’t free, delivery isn’t free…

You can’t run your car for free. Even if your car is run on electricity, it’s not free. Everything has a price. Logistics has a price, the packaging has a price + the containers have a price. Postage has a price, or, if you’re using any other delivery method, there is a cost that comes with it. I’m just being very transparent about the fact that I can’t afford to cover that cost because it would eat into the money that’s needed to run the business. That’s really the long and short of it.

PLASTIC CONTAINERS

What else do we have? Why can’t you put it (products) in plastic containers? Plastic containers would be easier. Yes, some things would be ‘squeezy’, especially the lip balm so on and so forth. I’m thinking people are becoming more aware of the dangers of plastics and how plastics inevitably end up in your bloodstream. There’s studies on it where it ends up in your brain, your gut, and (sorry to be that person), it’s also been reported that it ends up in male sperm, in female genitalia etc. It ends up everywhere.

Plastic should be avoided unless absolutely necessary and that’s why I don’t use plastic. The glass containers mean that you get more of the benefits and it’s recyclable. You can use it for other things. So that’s why there isn’t any plastic.

FREE PRODUCTS

Another common objection is, “Why can’t you give it to me to try for free”? Again, small business! If I go around giving it to everyone to try for free, there will quickly be no business. Let’s not forget the materials that I’m using in creating the J4JAYS products are high quality ingredients. These are not cheap…

This is not something that’s just cobbled together. I’ve put together very high quality products that are beneficial for your skin, your lips, your overall well-being, so on and so forth. It (free products) would ruin the business model completely.

I’m not at that level of being able to just give stuff away for free. If I could, I would. I can’t!

OTHER NEGATIVE EXPERIENCES

How about this one? “I tried supporting a small business once and the products weren’t good”. Again, I’m not laughing at the fact that you tried something and it didn’t work out the way you thought it would, but I’ve had objections in the past where people have tried to support their friends, their relatives, small businesses that they’ve met, and it’s backfired on them. I totally understand that.

Before I was making these products, I also had lots and lots of products I would try, even from your well-known brands, and they just weren’t for me. I have sensitive skin. They would burn my skin, literally burn my skin. Tried (different) soap, I tried a lot of products that just didn’t work out. My attitude couldn’t be that every single product that I would ever use from here on going forwards is definitely not going to be useful for me just because of that. So I would say that respectfully, I’m really sorry you had that experience, but I’m a completely different person. This is a completely different business. These are completely different products. So let’s try and work on the basis that these will be good. If they aren’t, I’m happy to receive feedback, I’m happy to work with people + I’m happy to understand how it can be better.

So far, so far, so good! Most people have been very, I say most, I’ve not had any complaints. I’ve not had any negative feedback so far, and I’d like to keep that up. Inevitably, there will be a point where someone has had some issue or there’s some recommendation that can be used to improve the products. I’m always open to that.

PERFECT SKIN ALREADY

“I don’t see the point my skin is fine as it is”. Listen, I love to see people with great skin! As soon as I see people with great skin, you know what I think?  You should definitely be on J4JAYS because it will help keep your skin great.

Just because it’s good doesn’t mean that A, you can’t maintain, B, you can’t improve. This (J4JAYS) is to help. It was made for people with dry, sensitive, uneven skin tones, etc. At the same time, if you happen to have really good skin (a lot of us have good genetics), it’s not if you have acne, it means you have bad skin. You have an issue that you need to clear up to get back to how your skin can be at its highest form. This is what my products are for.

If I see you have great skin, that doesn’t mean you can’t use J4JAYS. Absolutely use J4JAYS, it will keep your skin great.

SENSITIVE SKIN

“I have sensitive skin and I’m afraid of using certain products”. I also have sensitive skin I understand how that can make you feel like you have little to no choice in what you use.

I’ve had conversations about this and I’m always meeting this particular objection. “I can only use fragrance free products. Well, when we look at what fragrance free is and what goes into non-fragrance, that’s when you start to really realise that, again, this seems to be more of a psychological trick, a marketing ploy. My thing is, if something is natural and good, which is what we want; usually these things have some kind of some kind of smell, some kind of fragrance, some kind of aroma that comes with it naturally. You with me now?

I make the point that if you went up to a lemon tree, you would smell the lemons. If you picked one off the tree and you held it to your nose, you would smell the lemon. If you cut it open, you would smell it. If you squeeze the juice out, you would smell it. If you took the seeds out, you would smell it. So if there’s something in your skincare and it’s made of this, you would be able to smell it. The idea that fragrance free is great; not really, because, again, a lot of these companies use formulas that have (unnatural) stabilisers in them and these stabilisers are dangerous.

All they’ve now done is they’ve removed the fragrance element. So you’re still not getting an amazing product. That’s it! Things should have a natural aroma to them and if they happen to smell good naturally, that’s exactly what you should get. It’s not the aroma that’s triggering your allergies. You’re probably allergic to the ingredients. If you’re allergic to the ingredients, you need to find out which ingredients you’re allergic to and in what amounts.

Luckily, all the J4JAYS products have been certified for use. Anyone from the ages of three (years old) up can use them. Like I said, they were made to centre sensitive skin, dry skin and uneven skin tones. They naturally they work for anyone who doesn’t have those afflictions, it still works very well for you.

WHO HAS TIME FOR SKINCARE

“I don’t have time for a body and skincare routine”.

People make time for what they want to make time for. If you don’t make time for your health, you will make time for illness and disease. So you say you don’t have time, but actually what you don’t have time for is if things were to get worse. This is a measure that will maintain your level of skincare and improve it, right? It won’t get any worse. You won’t have to spend more time on it. I just look at this as the amount of time you should be using to use quality products.

You have the difference between wine that has the cork on it and wine that’s a screw top. Screw top wine generally isn’t as good as wine that’s been corked. It takes a little bit longer to take the cork off, but you get a better tasting wine. Same thing with your body care and skincare. If it takes a little bit longer to ensure that you get the best results possible, then it’s worth it. Absolutely.

TOO LAZY TO STICK WITH IT

“I’m too lazy to stick to a skincare routine”. Again, as a common objection, I keep making the point that it’s better to make time for this stuff now than when it’s gone too far. Then you have to really commit (time) to get yourself back to that level.

J4JAYS will help you if that’s the level you’re at, but if you can avoid that by investing in yourself now and in the quality of your skincare, then that’s exactly what you should be doing.

Those are really the most, the most common objections I receive. I hope this was helpful. I hope this clears things up. If anyone has any questions or comments for me, feel free to holler. Take care.
